A. Download and Install Avisto B. Register for new user C. Download tools from App Catalog

1. Go to http://www.astonis.com and download Avisto platform

For IE browser, select 'Run' in the popup window.

For Firefox, save the Avisto Installer on your Desktop then run the Installer.

System requirements:

Operating system: Windows XP, Vista,  or Windows 7, and Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

Hardware: Run on desktop, laptop, and Netbook computers

1. Initiate Avisto, in the login window, click on the Register button.

2. Provide your active email address.  This will be used as your Avisto login name. 

3. Initial password will automatically be sent to your email address.  You should receive it within a few minutes.  Sometime your mail filter mistakenly put it in your junk mail box. Alternatively, click on the '?' button and request the system to send it again.

4. Log back onto Avisto with the provided password

1. Under the User menu, select 'Change password' to change it.

2. Also under the User menu, update your Profile for future automatic discount on purchases.

3. Click the shopping cart button on the menu bar to open the App Catalog to select tools for your toolbox.  You can select to download all tools.

4. Get an understanding on the Avisto layout.

5. Then go through Experimenting in Chemistry with Avisto.
